Melina had humble beginnings, as a young child in Costa Rica, she cooked her first meal of spaghetti and meatballs with her mom and fell in love with cooking. She went to Universidad Latina and received her bachelors in International Business. When she moved to the United States she started in the restaurant industry and went on to own her own restaurant in Ybor City, FL. When she sold her stake of ownership in the restaurant to her business partner she moved to Orlando, where she started working at The Wine Barn in 2014 and created the menu we all know and love. The new owners hired her back after a three-year hiatus, and since February 2019 Melina has added many new additions to our menu and continues to over deliver on consistency and correctness when it comes to our menu.
